How to Handle Negative Feedback from Your Blog

Date May 14, 2008

Another top question I get from our clients is how to handle negative feedback from your blog or other online community - Facebook, MySpace, etc. Unfortunatly, negative feedback and comments are a part of being out there on the web and will happen if you have a social media presence or not.

Even if you don’t have a blog, a Facebook profile, or a MySpace page, there are still places like Google Local where people can post feedback.

There are two main ways to resolve negative blog feedback:

1. Just delete or ignore negative comments, but be careful not to be over-zelous in doing so because you don’t want to appear overly controlling. (if that is the case, just disable the ability to comment)

2. Work hard to ensure a positive stream of feedback from your satisfied customers.
